Bito's new shuttle (remote-controlled pallet transport shuttle / Radio Shuttle) system is a solution for storing pallets in deep rows and serves as an alternative for drive-in, push-back and pallet live systems. The shuttle is equipped with batteries and remote control and moves pallets along the depth of the aisles. It moves on guide rails and operates at speeds of up to one meter per second.
Loading, unloading and transfer between corridors is carried out with forklifts. The system allows the use of both FIFO (first in, first out) and LIFO (last in, first out) principles.
In cooperation with the Mannheim Transport and Storage Commission, BITO Lagertechnik has developed and implemented a unique technology to ensure safe operation.
