They use specialised automated cranes, also called <strong>stacker cranes<\/strong>, which run on rails between high rack rows. These cranes can automatically pick and place pallets in specific positions according to instructions from the warehouse program. They work with warehouse management systems (WMS) that optimize space and track goods in real time.   <\/p>\n\n<p>The main advantage of such warehouses is high efficiency - processing time and the need for human intervention are reduced. They allow maximum use of warehouse space at heights where standard warehouse equipment cannot operate. They operate in extremely narrow working aisles, allowing high storage density.
